Nice pics Jimmy, though I can't quite make-out what you used to reinforce the back wall? A metal "wall stud" as for metal-framed housebuilding?

I would think the ideal thing for this is aluminum "angle iron" though wonder where would you find such a length. And unistrut seems too heavy. Give me some ideas people!

Yes it is a Metal "Wall stud" for using in framing metal walls, I think they called it a Channel because it did not have all the holes cut in it for wiring and plumbing.

The wall studd, was 5 bucks, vs the 30 bucks for aluminum angle (which was only 8 foot long). Perhaps the aluminum would be cheaper at a scrap yard or metal yard

The weather is supposed to take a drastic turn on Wednesday -- even snow predicted, so I decided to put off my HFG purchase and building until next year. Good thing is I'll have more time to compile and memorize that list of needed modifications. I see you have three roof vent openers visible -- can you choose which sections of roof should pop open, or is that predetermined? I assume they provide some kind of hinge assembly, for the fixed end of the vent -- do you need to drill any holes in the roof framing to mount them, or do you find pre-drilled holes provided?

Ouch! On those spikes on the Lemon. I've sometimes snipped them off to prevent myself from being impaled.

The roof vents hinge on a Slot on the beam that makes the apex of the roof, so you can place the vents in any panel on the roof. The kit normaly calls for two vents on each side, but when we get our strong winds they come from only one direction, so I put all the vents on the Lee side.

Yeah I should probably snip the Spikes, but as of yet I have not been doing any pruining (Normaly you do not need to prune citrus, but as you can see, when left to their own, they are growing rather wild, but I have no idea when the best time of Year to prune citrus is, since they do not have a Dormant season)

Unfortunately Due to trying to save money, I am just using the Ceiling vents for exhaust, and then a louver that opens with a heat activated vent opener for passive venting. If it continues to heat up. I have a thermostat controlled window box fan ($17 form HD), that turns on and draws cool air into the greenhouse. I know that this is not the most efficient method, but it was the least expensive. I will be installing a clip on fan later as a circulation fan.

Are the el cheapo HF auto vent openers working? I've read that they are total junk.

They are working, but I had to open them up and drain out some of the oil to adjust them to work for me. I had one that applied so much force to itself, that it ripped the brass cap on the cylinder in half.

The remaining ones are working now (Opening and closing when they are supposed to)

My Biggest concern with them is how floppy/flimsy they are.

I do not know how well they will withstand if the vents are open while it is windy.
