Autogear I'd guess? I fortunately haven't had to play w/ one of these. Rumored to be expensive and touchy. If I wasn't sure, I'd use Cub oil, even wipe the tractor down with a Genuine Cub Cadet wash cloth first wearing yellow skivvies. Is their a part # for the oil? I remember crossing one of their hydro oils to a syn 20w50.
Yes its a autogear. I wear my genuine Cub hat when near it. The machine has been great, the key is not to use the "clutch" to regulate ground speed. The oil looked OK, it just had not been changed. I was just wondering if there was some other type or brand of oil to use. The dealer near me is not very keen on small tractors, there parts dept has to order everything for the smaller equipment.
