K & T Saw Shop has one for $1599.00 but I assume no bagger included. I just don't think its enough off the retail to justify the lack of warranty.

That's how old mine is, I have 100 hr's on it. And I have just about 1/2-3/4 acre to mow. If you can get him down some on the $. or throw in some drive & deck belts, oil change/tuneup kit could be a good buy. change the oil right away what ever you do! I don't recall right now, but there is something with a poor spring and tension with an idler pulley(iirc) either on the deck or the drive. Ask for a warrenty. That problem was covered because of a factory defect. That was the first year I had it. thae bagger alone is around $100-150. for mowing & light towng a good deal. imho

If it had more hours I would say the price was a little high but with the bagger and only ten hours $1,300 is fair. It will cut 2/3 an acre easy.

I recently purchased a used one also. It has 58 hours on it but it appears to have the pulley issue that was mensioned by geo148. Is this an issue that is covered by a recall? Does anyone know if Cub Cadet will fix it for free?

I would question the 2 years old and 10 hours. Looking that the yard the tractor was used on does 10 hour in 2 years sound reasonable? ( I have had my tractor for about a season mowing my half acre lawn and have 25 hours on it. or about 1 hour ever 2 weeks) If it fails that test, are there extenuating circumstances the would make the 10 hours sound reasonable.. ie the man bought the tractor, became disabled and had a lawn service mow his yard for most of the time
