Spent beer grains vs used coffee grounds?

I was just reading a topic in the organic boards about using spent malt grains from breweries as a green or fertilizer. It sounds like if you have a brewery near you, it would be an excellent alternative to coffee grounds. How does it compare to it however, nutritionally? What is the ph content? What other properties does it have in comparison?
