Hehehehe, got a good laugh over the Honda issue. My Honda has always had electrical problems. Every now and then it just starts beeping and blinking for no good reason. I just turn the radio up louder. OMG I can never get air into tires either, always turn them into pancakes trying. I don't deal with car issues, that's what my dad was for. Course, he's been gone awhile.... Deer ate my purple oxalis last night and raccoons ate all my tomatoes. Why can't they be happy just eating oranges? They don't even have to work at getting the oranges, they are all over the ground. If they don't like my oranges, they can go visit the neighbors. But NO, they have to eat my tomatoes. A friend was here from Canada last weekend. While on our way to go kayaking, we went through a small town that was getting ready for its christmas parade. She about died laughing. Yes, in the south you can watch a christmas parade in your bathing suit. There should be tacky police to fine people who put that huge inflatable Christmas crap in their yards. That should be punishable by the death penalty. One word - underwires. The person who came up with that idea should also be shot. My scooba has become anorexic and quit working. The battery won't hold a charge. I have to mop my own floors. Hate that.

Yes I have and I'm not too happy! I have a 6 ton 2 speed DR I purchased back in October of '06. Very limited use. This last week I needed to re-split 3 cord I finally found from a cutter for my stove. Chunks were to large for this stove. About a 1/2 cord into this pile my splitter flat lost its best busting pressure. The slower speed is its higher pressure. I go on-line and Chat twice, then called to speak to someone who might assist with knowledge about the problem and a corrective action. Well parts, like seals and gaskets are not even available! And, DR doesn't even have a 6 ton anymore. A small, low sitting 5 or a trailerable 10 ton...yes. Big bucks for the latter ones, Not to be discouraged I went on-line and spent 12 hours over a 2 days period looking for parts to this model/ design. The closest looking design was a Ryobi where the fluid resevoir is in the main body. The pump and valve are all part of this certain configuration and I could not locate ANYTHING! It's possible one option would be to buy the whole 'Main body' separately. But, this idea, along with horrendous freight charges I'm not considering! It still works if I fiddle with the faster speed/ lower pressure right close the piece. But that old, once impressive and worth bragging about busting ability is gone! I even spoke with a DR mechanic from a distributor and he admitted DR was terrible about not stocking parts...least wise for splitters. I went looking for another one splitter but I'm pretty bummed about these electrics if you can't repair the hydraulics with the things. Since '06 Ive purchased a couple skid steers for my snow removal business. I have an order in for a skid steer mounted splitter. I know, not everyone has this option and they still burn expensive fuel. But, it's simpler with just a ram, a valve and the equipments hydraulics. But, I'm staying away from the electrics. They do work, though...for awhile. Then you have nothing but a big piece of iron laying around. Repair stations will tell you the cost to repair a hydraulic issue isn't worth the money! That's what I was told!

I don't think of it as quite complete yet I have not addressed the bugs we encounter. So anyone else that wants to see something not present in it please let me know. The final version I will post as FAQ in the sugject heading.

Josh, you should see what clear-cut logging has done to our creeks! When I was a kid, they ran clear and full of fish. Now they're just torrents of mud when it rains. But, tree farming is just like any other crop - plant it and harvest it. The tree huggers don't understand that there's nothing special about woodlands - it's just another crop. it just takes 30 years longer to harvest than cotton. As for organic - my grandparents rotated the kitchen garden between three hog pens. Each year, hogs were in one, the garden was in another and one was left fallow. The following year, Pa-Pa put the hogs where the garden had been and they ate everything - insect larvae, weed seeds, nothing left but stinky mud full of hog s... which also fertilized the plot. And he planted the garden in the fallow pen, etc etc. It was 100% organic - by economic necessity. It produced enough vegetables for the table, but the hog poop really din't provide sufficient nutrient for good yields. The corn was always sort of yellowish and kinda spindly and squash leaves were small with fewer squash than we get now. My chemically-fertilized vegetables are 100 times better looking and higher yielding than any of his ever were - but they may not taste as good, being forced with nitrogen, and maybe not as healthy either. But who cares - that's what spices and vitamin pills are for! :-) Jack
