I don't know about wholesale, but I've really good luck with yardiac for mail order in multiples of hanging baskets etc. (www.yardiac.com) They often have sales, and while they aren't well organized (i.e. not all hanging baskets are in the same area, but some are split off into rattan and moss, vs. coco liner baskets), they ship fairly quickly and have a decent selection of different vessels (without the pricetag that some other sites come with) and good quality (at least with what I've ordered). They have some whimsical planters too. P.S. I am in no way affiliated with the company or site, but I do like to shop there ;)

Personally, I like succulents in hanging baskets because they are fairly worry free. Some of the sedums look great as well as Semperviviums and Echeverias. Graptoveria is nice too, and Epiphyllums are a favorite although they do need some winter protection under an eave or something else. I also have a hardy orchid in a hanging basket, Dendrobium kingianum, that survived the freeze 2 winters ago admirably under an eave. Begonias, the big tuberous kind, are winter deciduous and the fibrous kind may not make it through winter. Impatiens will not make it either unless the winter is extremely mild and they have protection. wanda

Great tunies Pudge! Love the colour. My mixed containers that I grew from seed are starting to look really nice. I nuked one with too much Miracle gro though, I must have put it in twice. And my beautiful fuchsia got covered in concrete brick sawing dust when we were getting our new patio and died instantly. I washed it off within a couple of hours and it was already dead. It must have been alkaline or something, I have never seen any plant go from thriving to dead so instantly.

What a novel idea for the honeysuckle! My mother had a honeysuckle vine growing on a cedar post beside our door. It was one of my favorite things in the yard. I've avoided doing it since it's so invasive if not kept in tight control but the hanging basket idea sounds good. Think I'll give it a try. Sandy
