I had a couple of pink flamingos in my yard for awhile. I named them 'Tongue' and 'Cheek'. They finally died. I think of,embarrassment.

Terowan thats great . Similar here im a hockey fan and loading the sports along with other things useing Aol was crazy. I copied and pasted the sports site from Aol and have it in my bookmarks which is basically same thing as favorite places on Aol. No more waiting eons to load to read about my favorite sports teams. I do remember a time when AOL worked fine but it seems over long period of time it just started getting slower and slower even with all there constant updates to no avail. Ever notice on AOL it says "top speed on" bottom left corner of screen? Its crazy what top speed? The Misses computer has the I7 chip in it which basically has 4 processors but on AOL for most part it does same as my old machine it lags. Martin

Another PIA for sure. I've had challenges with having to sign in after every post, missing scrollbars, pop ups, and slow loading pages. I get the ads for revenue but I'd rather pay to post like some have mentioned. If we have to have the ads so be it I guess. Just wish the pages loaded faster like they use to....with or without all the ads. : ) David

If I see it, when someone complains about the ads I look at how the ads are currently being delivered by reading the gobble-de-gook of the page source. I use some advertising supported software that is wonderful. I could swat the ads, but I don't for two reasons. The ad is actually targeted to something I could use and the ads don't move or flash or or make noise or get in the way of seeing what I'm trying to look at. I permit the advertising because it supports something good that I like. I am also happy to permit the ads on a variety of sites that produce content - like newspapers, blogs and commercial television. I understand that the ads pay for reporters, photographers, etc. I still off the ones that move or make noise, tho. On this forum, the terrific content is all user generated using old, weird software. We don't get iVillage sponsoring Q&A sessions with famous KD's or a chance to talk with famous chefs or the Bluestar engineers or Kraftmaid or the kitchen experts at Kholer. He--, we can't even get a FAQ area. long rant about how they could have controls over the advertising removed I miss skip.
