Seed Planting, perennials, grass, bamboo or ?

Posted message before. Basically was told ornamental grass was not what I needed. Need to plant seeds only, perennial, least flowering possible, plant growth (can be taller if flowers counted in height) 5-6ft., easy to take care of, non-poisonous (have dogs), to act as privacy fence around my yard/cyclone fence. I'm open to almost anything, & am willing to mix & mingle. Have lots & lots of bees, etc., so the least flowering would be the best. Am not necessarily looking for beauty. I saw Red Bark Spinach but could find nothing about how it does in the winter time, etc. Saw Bamboo Muhly but not sure if that would do. Also saw Morning Light (grass) & Metal Switch(grass). But need something I don't have to do much to after the first couple of weeks during beginning growth - I can water twice per day to keep ground moist during this time.

Any suggestions are Very Much Welcome.
