Philodendrons on the swamp cooler...good/bad?

I am planning an area across the back of my greenhouse for palms, anthuriums, philodendrons, bromeliads, and orchids. The back wall is 36 ft long with 12 ft wall height at the sidewall and a roof gable of 20 ft. A cellulose cooling pad that gets water dripped over it in summer (swamp cooler) that is 36 ft long and, I think, 6ft tall, starting about 4 ft up, and stretches that entire length of the back coinciding with the vent.

My question is, if my vining philodendrons, vanilla orchids, etc decide to grow up the cooling pad, will that hurt anything? They could be removed later if I decided to change the area, I know it might damage the pad a little but don't think it would do that much harm.

What do you think?
