hmmmm - Your Mt. Airy flowers look brighter than mine. I planted one in full sun (at the time), unimproved soil, and it's been a slow grower for me but I like it. It gets some shade now from the shrubs around it. The flowers on mine are creamy white and look somewhat dull (almost yellowish) compared to some bright white candytuft nearby that flowers at the same time. I shouldn't have planted them close together. I guess I could move the candytuft. I've noticed that the side that faces the sun on the south gets better fall color. Your cherry tree is beautiful! My daughter has been bugging me to plant a flowering cherry.

I guess my primary concern is wondering with a stone countertop if one can not use a top mount sink. Everyone these days is going with undermount, and I was wondering if there is a technical or installation reason why I can't use this drop in. And, my taste is not always what everyone is doing anyway. So, it sounds as though there are no structural reasons why this wouldn't work. Thanks.

I have had a drop-in silgranit anthracite sink for four years and love it! We are starting a remodel of entire kitchen and will be purchasing a new one, but undermount. I have been told we can use our existing sink, but am not going to chance it. They seem to be a bit delicate. When we had our current sink installed, the plumber was tapping out the holes and cracked the corner off the sink. We looked at each other and he called his wife and said, "you know that money I asked you to deposit? Don't spend it; I have to buy my customer a new sink.". Well, after he left, I called Blanco, explained to them what happened and they asked me to email a picture of the sink, and scan my receipt. Within 24 hrs, they called me and said they were shipping me a new sink and to just discard the one I had. @ a2gemini - I was warned of the boiling water by the salesperson (and she really discouraged me from buying this sink to begin with because she had a previous customer who had this same problem). I usually run hot water in the sink before draining pasta, etc. Have never had a problem.

kimihh- I love having the trash under the sink. The sink cabinet we had before was huge and we had a trash can under there for the 6 months or so after we moved in before we started remodeling so I knew it would work for us. It's rarely an issue if someone else needs to get into the trash while I'm at the sink since the sink is so wide. I just stand over a little to the right and the pull-out can easily be used. Sheila F - it's not huge, probably 5'6" x 11' Russ- that was the original range we bought, a nice gas freestanding GE. I kept pining for a slide-in, though, and as luck would have it we stumbled on the Samsung on clearance at Best Buy for $949, about $100 more than we paid for the GE. I sold the GE on CL to a very happy woman. That was back in April when I took those dining room pictures. We are still on the road for another week but I had some time to post so I just used the ones I had!
