I remember now I had some seeds from years ago and I stuck some in with a bunch of other seeds not expecting them to do anything as they were old. Now I can look up the care on them. They did look like a nut and I think I soaked them before planting. What would I do without you guys???!!! Thank you for the pictures too! It actually is very sturdy and the stem is hard. That Stictocardia beraviensis vine sounds beautiful! I love pink and hot pink especially! I will look at the link. Thanks! David...those are great tips! Karyn, my last post did not come out right. I cut the stem like you said...threw the leaves away and then the very tips that were thin I decided to try rooting in sand, log style. hi new to this forum, was wondering if any of you experts/kind souls would care to give me an education on propagating the woolly morning glory/elephant creeper/hawaiian baby woodrose or more aptly Argyreia nervosa via cutting? i have tried several times but failed miserably!!! i have tried with woody stems and herbaceous stems with 2-3 nodes and removed large leaves except for those about to form and pot them in soil/sand mixture. everytime they wilt on me. what did i do wrong? TIA FRUIT.

There isn't enough information in the photo yet , because the structures to achieve a definitive ID have not developed yet... I really think you'll have to wait for flowerbuds, flowers and possibly fruit.... There are MANY different Argyreia species (that can look very similar) and yes, in the vegetative stage they can look like the closely relates StICtocardia... Post some photos when the flowerbuds develop...
