Congratulations, that's probably a pretty rare occurance.

Our pump blew a breaker sometime Tuesday night...I just had an electrician in this morning...there's something wrong with the pump(?)and/or the outlet...it's causing the GFI to shut down. He's going to be back tomorrow to run a dedicated line to the pond. I am going to buy a new pump this afternoon. My husband installed a new mechanical & biological filter last weekend. We found a guide that estimates our pond to hold 100 gallons and the waterfall/pond adds another 15. I think the fountain/sprayer detracts from the waterfall and am against adding it back in. Are they a necessity? Would they water cascading from the falls be enough airation? It just seems too busy with both running. The pond gets full mid-morning sun and is partially shaded after that. There is one plant in a pot on the plant ledge that appears to be alive...not sure what it is though, I haven't bought any others as I'm not sure it's warm enough to add them. Being on the small side I don't want to overwhelm it, besides I have no idea what to put in there. I read (on another site) that quite a few landscaping plants are toxic to fish...but y'all have mentioned having them in and near your ponds...so I am very confused. You are all so nice that I've decided I am going to trust this site and quit reading the other.

Hiya GG, nice to see you back on board w/ us! Sorry to say my peduncles have stalled, perhaps in speaking so soon I jinxed myself, but I KNOW you all felt my excitement w/ me!! I cut off the stem which withered above the peduncles & have moved it a bit closer to the west window. I'll be off from work next Mon. & Tues., I plan to have a talk w/ this Macrophylla & explain it's making me look bad now that I riled folks up about this -- some nerve!!!

Sean I would be careful what you say [lol]...I might cast a spell to make your legs even shorter! Dampflippers I did try transfering a small amount of frogspawn from the other ponds but I think the magpies or(something)ate it! Get a lot of birds using this pond to drink and bathe. Wonder if the frogs and toads realise their eggs are safer in the short term in the netted ponds? My fish eat about 75% of the frog taddies when they start swimming around but I've heard fish won't touch toad taddies as they taste nasty. It will be interesting to see if they spit these out. Sue
