I have a frog - need advice

Much to my surprise, I discovered I have a frog. I guess it has been spending time around the deep end and I must have disturbed him/her when I lifted the pot of water lilies out while trying to net the plycostomas. (That's another story, but after an hour, Sneaky Pete is safely inside for the winter.) The frog climbed out and hopped toward the rocks on the outside of the water fall. He is obviously healthy and doing well - about 6 inches long stretched out and about 2 inches across the widest part of his middle - greyish green with spots.

Do I need to do anything special for him this winter? North Texas winters are fairly mild, but hopefully this year we will get a couple of freezes. I assume from what I've read that he will hibernate at the bottom of the pond.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

Sherry
