The only one I have that is near mature is Marianne. I have others but they're babies. You may get more responses if you post this on antiques forum.

I have several Paul's gallicas. My favorites are Marianne and Gallicande for health and beauty.
I second Carla's comment, Paul's roses are more often discussed on antique forum.

I have 'Golden Buddha'. It's been so-so. Pretty flower, but the plant has not been vigorous.

My Paul Barden roses are all pretty young--less than 2 years old, so things will probably change as the plants mature. This has been my experience with them:

Golden Buddha: a bloom machine, but check the photos on HelpMeFind. If you're expecting a yellow rose like the pictures at RVR, you might be disappointed. The color is described as varying with temperature--I've only seen apricoty-orange blooms on mine so far. Very pretty blooms cover the bush in flushes most of the summer--some balling in the fall. Had some pretty severe dieback this winter--1/2 to 2/3 of the canes died completely. Pretty healthy otherwise--I don't spray, and it was very clean until the rains started in the fall, when there was a minor amount of blackspot. Again, all these comments refer to young roses and things might change as they mature.

Oshun: Didn't survive a spring freeze. Had a bloom on the band when I received it, and it smelled great--color was much paler than expected--maybe because it was just a young rose. When I pulled it up after it died, it had next to nothing in the way of roots--it might not be the fault of the rose, I might have gotten an inferior specimen.

Jeri Jennings: A great rose so far. It's grown like a weed and has a very pretty arching form. Flower color has been variable from pale yellow/almost white to intense yellow to almost pink. Lots of blooms for a young plant. A little mildew late in the season--I'm hoping she'll grow out of it. Probably my second-favorite Barden rose so far after Marianne.

Marianne: Very vigorous. Several blooms the first year. Color was variable, from cream-colored to the wonderful peaches and yellows shown in the best photos of this rose. No disease problem at all. May be my favorite of my Paul Barden roses.

Fara Shimbo: A little slow getting started, and hasn't bloomed yet, but it looks like it's starting to get established. I have high hopes for this rose this year. A little powdery mildew--something it might grow out of--otherwise no problems.

Carol's Favorite: Too new to tell. Planted last fall, looks like it got through the winter just fine.

Mel Hulse: To new to tell. Planted last fall, looks like it's about to bust out in leaves any minute now.

Just got bands of "Crested Damask" and "Dragon's Blood", and they look like healthy little plants.

Ellen Tofflemire so far has pretty, bright-green foliage, nice blooms, and droopy canes. She's another one that's off to a slow start but shows a lot of potential for this year.

I will share my experience, but keep in mind that I probably have much more BS issues then Pasific NW, so it could be much better for you.

Marianne -healthy, vigorous, beautiful color. Wants to be a climber or really big bush. Color is lighter to me then on most Paul's pictures. I actually like color of my Marianne more. Happy with this rose.

Gallicande- happy, vigorous rose. Also wants to be really big.

Umbra, just one year in my gardne. Gave me two flowers that were beautiful and fragrant. Have high hopes for this rose. So far no BS.

Incantation -good resistance to BS, not immune, gets its share of disease and looses some leaves, but still looks decent and blooms a lot.

Jerri Jennings - was very BS prone. Beautiful flowers, very fragrant, plant was very vigorous, if you spray for BS. I gave it away to other garden, which has less BS issues, but was told it was naked in other place too.

Oshun - also unbelievably beautiful, but flowers balled for me in spring and it required regular spraying.

Allegra -beautiful but requires regular spraying.

Ellen Tofflemire - beautiful but requires regular spraying.

I spray so can't give you any info on disease resistance. One characteristic of Paul's roses is the amount of bloom. Every one of his plants that I grow is a blooming machine. I have Golden Buddha, Dragon's Blood, Mel Hulse, Jeri Jennings, Unconditional Love, Dolly's Forever Rose, Incantation, October Moon, and Oshun. Golden Buddha seems to spend all its energy on producing bloom instead of the plant growing. I have some really funny pics of this 18" plant loaded with large 4" blooms. Unconditional Love may be my favorite mini...lush foliage, great mossing, and old fashioned mini blooms. Incantation and Dragon's Blood are probably the most floriferous....continuous, nonstop bloom. Jeri Jennings is very vigorous...first year plant reached over 6' with large flushed of bloom.....sends out short laterals loaded with flowers up and down the canes. I've become a huge fan of Paul's roses over the last 4 years and would recommend them highly.

Golden Buddha - now in the ground. I expect it will be a small rounded bush with more blooms than it had in the container it was in for 3 years.
Jeri Jennings - grew big but no flowers last season. I think it will do fine this year.
