hinoki cypress or weeping hawthorn?

i would like to plant an unique evergreen that will eventually grow to 10+ feet. slow growth is fine. this will be a specimen planting at the front of the house (zone 4) that will get minimal sun (1 - 2 hours). we have several hawthorne and a weeping hawthorne that do great in out climate, sandy soil, and full shade. i wanted something different and really like a hinoki cypress but am concerned as many website stress they do best in full sun.

has anyone had success with this type of cypress in a shaded location? thanks everyone! sue
