Technically, this is a modern rose, and should be on the other Forum.
But it is also a really good example of a fine "Found" rose, well-adapted to the area where it's been growing.
There are two -- possibly three -- very tall plants, in a row, next to an old driveway, in the San Fernando Valley (Southern California).
The old house was built in 1920, by the people who planted the first walnut orchard in the Valley. The wife lived there until her death, just a few years ago.
The old house is in sad shape, and I really expect it to be bulldozed any day now.
(The collapse of the Real Estate Market may save it for a while.)
I suspect there may have been a nice garden there, once. Now it's all gone except for "Louise Ave. White HT."

In my more humid, cooler, coastal garden, LAWHT is growing beautifully.
Here, as in the Valley, it neither mildews nor rusts. And it blooms almost year 'round. Blooms are enormous, and fragrant.
