Ms Vickie, Bull Frogs will grow much larger than that little guy.[Though it looks like a female]

It is a Northern Leopard Frog you have in the photograph.

They can be confused with Pickerel Frogs, as their markings are similar.

Here's a picture of a bullfrog from my pond. She is more of an even green and her face is not as pointy as your frog. I have quite a few of these guys....

Oh, good. Not that I have anything aganist bullfrogs, but I love knowing I have a frog in my pond that seems to be on the decline. This one has been hanging around all summer. I hope it stays as long as it wants. Thanks, Horton. Love the links.

BTW, sorry for the double post. When I was doing the 1st one, computer kicked me off and when got back on my post didn't show up, so I posted again.

Good deal on your leopard frog, Vickie. The only frogs I get are the tiny tree frogs with the BIG voices! I do have a lot of toads, though. They've moved on for the summer, though, and the pond is now quiet.

That is Mama Frog which I have been feeding. Notice the mealworm to her right? She is so fat she couldn't see it.

Nancy, my daughter lives up your way, and she has alot of loud tree frogs too. I told her to catch them and bring them here, she said "No way." LOL.

All of my toads seem to have moved on also. I don't have to walk on tippy toes anymore. Once in a blue moon, I'll spy one. The Northern Leopard is the only one I see each day.

Mondo, Mama Frog looks like the happiest frog I've ever seen.

I had the day off and had just read this post, went out to play in my pond and WOW I got one of the 2 wether its the Pickerel or a Leopard im not sure. It was very skiney. I also found a Bull frog so I ran him back down the road. I have at leas 2 smaller frogs, have not ID yet. I m very happy about this as my pond has been nearly frogless lately. No tadpoles in 2 years. My pond is very "natural" should we say with lots of "native" things growing.. many would call weeds, also lots of moss. We were criminals and removed plants that grow around the river in the National forest land and transplanted them here. Weeds or not their native and Im so excited to have these frogs!
