Comments (4)Grew it years ago on an estate, too white. I wouldn't even call it cream colored. I think the reason it has persisted in catalogues only is because they can colorize the photos. very disappointing, it's been around for over 15 years, don't you think if it were truely yellow it would be widely available and popular....See MoreLilac suppliers
Comments (11)Aren't friends grand? :-) I have no idea where to get Lilacs in Canada but if you get a chance check out the Beauty of Moscow lilac. I fell in love with it when I saw a picture of it at a Royal Horticultural Gardens talk I went to in Fort Frances Ontario. I have planted it on at least four properties since then but every single time ended up moving before I could see it in it's full glory!...See MorePrimrose Lilac... yep, the supposed yellow one
Comments (10)Oh great. I bought one last year. A little sprig! But to it's credit it is growing and I have more shoots coming up. Course it will be years before I see the color, but now that I've read this thread ( and yes I bought it at the same catalog house) I'm sure it will be white! LOL. I've seen a tree that looked just like the "primrose" lilac...and I swear that this sprig is the tree I saw. Very disapointed when I saw the tree and figured it was what I bought...only sprig size. The yellow isn't a true yellow....more a cream....See Moreyork_rose
