Question for people with 500 +gallon stocktanks

Hi all,

I guess I should have said for those in zone 5 with big above-ground stocktanks. How do you deal with them in the winters?

I would love to get a larger one, but I would have to move everything out of them in the winters. I'm running enough deicers now and wouldn't want to add another one. Plus, we have too many power failures to rely on them.

I suppose I could have one just for a lily or 2, and bury the lilies in the winter. I just worry about the frogs that settle in for the winter.

Do you empty it and turn it upside down for the winter??

I didn't empty my 100 gallon stocktanks last year and they all ruptured. Won't do that again. I was able to repair 1.
