Growing sedums from SAVED hybrid seeds

I know sedums are so easy to start from clippings, but was wondering if anyone has ever tried growing them from seed saved from hybrid varieties.

I received in a plant that a member had grown from 'saved' Neon sedum seed. I have a Neon plant I bought and the one that is grown from saved Neon seed is even cooler than the actual Hybrid itself. The one grown from saved seed is shorter, and even more vibrant in color, than the Neon plant I purchased. I have had both plants in the ground in the same bed, and under the same circumstances (light, water, mulch, etc) for a couple of years now.

So, has anyone grown out saved Hybrid sedum seeds and gotten any really neat new sedums as a result?

I see my seldom seen or mentionedXenox sedum has seed ready. I plan to try wintersowing some of the seed and see what the results are.

Sue
