Carefree Beauty is the only one I have grown, although I have ordered many for this season. I have never had black spot on CB. I think this is one of my favorite roses. I have three of them.
I am glad you posted this as I am always interested in roses for a no spray gaden.

I am also interested in this answer, but I know that what is good in one area may not be good in another.

Prairie Star needs to be sprayed. It is beautiful, but needs the spray. So does Distant Drums. Some roses need to be sprayed more regularly than others, and I am experimenting and looking for those that can go a month. I won't mess up your thread with that idea, though.

A recent Iowa State study found that the healthiest Bucks were Carefree Beauty, Prairie Squire, Pic. Pete, Aunt Honey, Winter Sunset; plants received no spraying in second year of study.
In my no-spray experience, Country Dancer is as healthy as any of the above.
Two Carefree Beauties have grown well here since early 70s with no care other than occasional mulching.

Glad to hear Country Dancer (which is also a recommendation for eastern Pennsylvania, and eastern Tennessee) works; I'm getting that in the Spring, along with another recommendation of this site (Earth Song), and also Applejack.

Am considering, at some point in the future, Griff's Red & Quietness-anyone care to share any thought on those?

Carefree Beauty and Country Dancer.

I am a BIG fan of Country Dancer!!

Spanish Rhapsody did not fair well in my no-spray garden.
Quietness, in its first year, did defoliate for me some. I think its too early to say yet if this will continue, especially since I just put this rose in last year. Others said that it did well for them no-spray which is why I purchased it.

Paloma Blanca, Katy Road Pink, Quietness, all very disease-resistant and hardy in the freeze of Easter 2007.

In our very humid & hot coastal area, Quietness remained completely clean-- what a rose! Like you we have ordered Prairie Harvest & are hoping that it is reasonably clean. Distant Drums hasn't been too bad-- our plants are grafted & were very clean their first year in the ground.

My Distant Drums and Winter Sunset stay very clean in my no spray garden. My Sunbonnet Sue and Enchanted Autumn got lots of blackspot.

Over the years I've seen Aunt Honey in bloom before at different places and I'd always ask what that beautiful rose was. Good to know about the disease resistance in addition to her other attributes. Just a reminder too that when Dr. Buck was breeding roses in the 80's, disease resistance wasn't his primary motivation (although of course it was nice to have), winter hardiness was. At one point they had numerous Buck roses growing in the Tulsa ARS Rose garden, and some were fairly disease resistant and some definitely weren't.

Earth Song is more resistant then Country Dancer here.
It will get some BS, but not much. Carefree Beauty is similar in resistance to ES, not bad at all. Prairie Harvest is also similar. All others I tried get BS badly here.

Griff's Red is almost as clean as Earth Song here.
April Moon defoliates some, but is vigorous and prolific.

Folksinger was clean last year in my yard.
Prairie Sunrise got spots but didn't defoliate. Quietness is too new to evaluate (it took a while till it recovered from rabbit damage after last winter). I cannot recall if April Moon was resistant or not.

I ordered a number of Bucks from Chamblee's so I will know more about them by the end of the season.

Griff's Red and Quietness are good roses. Even Quietness gets some blackspot in the fall (I don't spray). Surprisingly, rugosa hybrids like Hansa get lots of blackspot come September.

I wish Prairie Harvest had been on the Iowa list...
