Which evergreen shrub N side shade

Last winter, half of my compacta inkbery holley hedge died of winter burn as it is exposed to NW winds. It had been there for about 5 years without a problem. It is planted on the north side of the house and gets very little sun and the ground stays wet. The remaining hedge shows spots on the leaves (I assume some kind of fungus) I don't think the hedge has been particularly happy there but chose it because it is said to be tolerant to shade and wet soil and is evergreen.

Should I plant back the same thing? Something else? Would love to have boxwood but didn't think it could handle the shade. Suggestions??

Thanks
