I have the same opinion as smwboxer. Plant looks very healthy but if that is a flowering spike it is coming from the wrong place. Someone in Europe is giving those orchids half a name. You probably have Vuylstekeara Cambria which is a intergeneric hybrid in the Oncidiinae sub-tribe, the flower stems appear next to the pseudobulb from under the leaves at the base, I haven't got this particular orchid and you might get more opinions in you repost over on discussions.

Harry, That's a beautiful tree! Nice shape! Have you had any fruit yet? Would you care to give me a few pointers how to care for the tree? I've looked for some plant care tips but haven't found any yet. The leaves are huge! Mine are probably the size of your palm. My tree is about 7' tall with a few branches sticking out. I got it this spring from a nursery and it was pretty bare. It's recovered well but I had to trim some dry branches. I put a thick layer of mulch around. It's not harboring apples but tree frogs and spiders. Thanks! /Fred
