Rhubarb-like plant

I've had this plant for a long time, lost the name tag, and forgot the name. I've been calling it a Rooster Crow for as long as I can remember, but when I search for that, nothing comes up. The stems remind me of a rhubarb, but the leaves remind me of spinach. It grows a lot like a weed--if you plant one expect about 10 more two weeks later. I'm certain it is an annual. It doesn't have a extensive rhisome-interlaced root system. It has different varieties; the colors range from bright green to a red dark red color--there have been orange and even one yellow before; some grow six inches to a foot, but they spread out so they are wider than they are tall, while others grow to be taller than 5'8"; the flowers range from yellow to dark red, but are most commonly a bright red color; some grow in clusters while others grow alone as one stem.
