I've ordered a couple of times in the past. Most of the roses have been ok, but there were a couple that died on me from the first batch. As I recall, the plant quality was decent, but their packing wasn't that great. I seem to remember they just stuck the bareroots in the box without bagging them up or adding any kind of moist wrapping. They were bone dry. So you if they still do that, I would recommend soaking them for a few days.

Were these from Cottage Farms? I bought a collection of 12 minis through QVC that were from Cottage Farms. They came as very small 3 inch bands but they were all healthy and grew rapidly. Only problem was that 5 of the 12 were mislabeled. I'm still trying to ID those 5 roses.

I've done it. The bareroot roses came quite dry, and I think I was only able to revive two of the six they sent. Of the two I revived, one was mislabeled -- the one marked "Marie Osmond" was really Purple Heart. I still don't know if there actually is any rose named "Marie Osmond." The other one I got was the Emerald rose, which is Cottage Farms in-house name for Mint Julep. That one was true to variety, and I'm glad I have it, and was able to revive one of the two they sent. The small potted roses they sent were nice plants, however, and mine were not mislabeled.

All of the ones I got from QVC were actually Cottage Farms roses, which can be usually obtained less expensively on the Cottage Farms site, except they don't sell roses in "collections."
