Has anyone ordered from Rogue Valley Farms? I noticed that they have picked up some of Roses Unlimited's stock.How big, healthy, etc. are the bands from Rogue?

I've ordered quite a few roses from them and am happy with the plants and the excellent and personalized service. They have quite a variety of roses and continue to add more. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

I have ordered from them several times and always with excellent results. Of course the bands have to be potted up and cared for, but they are always healthy and Janet is just as nice as can be.....order with confidence!

Pulease...you guys. I am laughing so hard. I can think of so many forum members who make much better bouquets than I ever could. The thing about RR and Ascot is you just need a lot of blooms to stuff in a vase--the blooms do it all for you--plonks for the lazy. I just looked up Jude a while ago to see his parentage, if possible. No, it can't be...Abe Darby is a parent. My little runt Abe which grows next to my 8+ft tall Jude. Something is wrong here. Diane

Rogue Valley order -- anybody gotten theirs?

I spoke with Janet (I believe that’s her name?) from RVR about a month ago regarding my Rouge Royale order. I was told the same as Ryan, that RR hadnt grown well that year and my plant needed time to grow more. She offered to wither refund my order or hold my plant until late summer when it was large enough to ship and send it then. I opted to wait until the end of summer to receive it. I did have to be the one to initiate contact but strangely she called about a week after that to discuss the same situation with RR. Maybe she forgot that we had already made arrangements? I know business has been CRAZY for these nurseries and I can see how my one order may get overlooked. It’s tough waiting though!

If its flowering now, it cant possibly be ’Marianne’. Sadly, it appears that many (most?) plants of ’Marianne’ RVR has sold in recent times are mislabeled plants. Be sure to ID your plant and follow up if you’ve got the wrong rose. @Meg-zone8aOR My guess us that its an Austin, given your description of the fragrance.

Jackie, agree about RVRs current good service. I lucked into 2 of a rose that had been on my wish list with them for several years in Dec 2022 (by "lucked into" I mean I happened to read my email at exactly the right time). They sent them right away, they are the correct variety, and were really great plants. I used to order from them way back in the day, but got scared more recently (based on many comments), so I'm glad to have had a good experience :-D

Rogue Valley has been consistently excellent in their quality of plants and customer interaction. I was very upset with The Uncommon Rose going out of business but was happily surprised to learn that some other company had picked up some of their inventory. Rogue Valley has proven to be a wonderful supplier of 'hard to get' roses as well as the new supplier of Paul Barden's roses. I highly recommend.

Can't recommend anyone else more highly. Janet runs a terrific nursery and her plants are beautiful. I haven't lost one yet and her selection is very broad. It won't be your last order from Rogue Valley Roses, I can promise you!

Sue if your significant other says no more roses and you order some anyway it could be the last order, just saying. Every rose that I have bought has been great , unless you order a rose that is not happy in your zone you cannot go wrong.

I have ordered most of my roses from rogue. I have also ordered and received roses from vintage and high country roses. I am very satisified with them, especially the 5 gal
roses. Occasionally though i have gotten bands that were too tiny that didn't survive. I would recommend their gal or 5 gal roses. Vintage and high country i've never had problems with band sizes. I don't pot up my bands, except for some last fall, but i planted them in yard b4 winter, i was having problems with nutrients and aphids on sunporch. All but the tiniest bands are surviving so far.

Yes, I've ordered from them a couple times. Very nice people. I have an order in with them now.

If I remember correctly, the bands are a good size, being more on large side than small.
