Please forgive me for the f/u on this thread. You got me going - I need a road trip so bad. OBX only 3 hrs from where I live and can be an inexpensive getaway for the weekend. I will never forget this trip just riding forever on the beach with hardly no one else driving on it, and then to see the beautiful wild horses. My brother and I drove for hours listening to nothing but the beautiful ocean. Sometime we were speechless because we were so amazed by all the beautifulness. There also are some areas on this thin part of the OBX off the beach where people actually live year-round. This is their life. The only way to get to where they live is by a 4-wheel-drive vehicle. Thank you all, my dear, dear friends. Yesterday we had one of those days here at our house -- no water for 36 hours, Freya sneaking a pizza off the kitchen counter, and the smell of fresh polyurethane pervading the cold, damp house.... On the other hand, I had the loving affection of Tom and my DS Jacob, calls and cards from family, and greetings from all of you. And tonight we're going out to dinner to try celebrate again. Carla, Luanne, Jon, Anita, Lori, Ingrid, Sue, Carolina, Pamela, and Carol -- each one of your messages brought smiles and memories to my mind. I just realized that with the exception of Ingrid, I know each one of you in the Real World (as opposed to online) -- Ingrid, we'll just have to correct that soon. Oh wow, sorry I am so late reading this post. The days just aren't long enough even with the longer daylight days, LOL.

I guess you all know how much I love pink roses, thanks so much.

Krista you know I adore that rose, I can smell her from here. UMMMMM, good.

Duchess is that a hellebore? Wonderful plant. I have one I planted last year. As soon as the snow melts enough on that side of the house I am hoping to find it thrived.

Carol, yes my birthday was the 9th, I think I made a mistake when I did my profile years ago. I am still 39 though, LOL.

Florence your pictures always make me smile, they always seem to contain sunshine.

Celeste, lilacs are sent from heaven, I love them, that fragrance is divine.

Hamp, Buddy is wonderful, still the main man in my life. I got him a baby sister a couple of weeks ago. I little black cat, 6 months old, named her Sissy as she is Buddy's baby sister. They adore each other.

Judith, someday we are gonna meet in person and I will personally give you a tour of my little yard and we will sniff roses together.

Jackie thank you for the great pic, I love it. He is a gorgeous rose. Pugwash is great. I love it here and my little garden is growing all the time with new additions. I will try to get some pics up soon.

Again, thank you all for remembering me.

Melissa I will enjoy my fur babies and my plants for sure, they all delight me.

Suze what a gorgeous bouquet, is that inside in a vase or outside in the garden. Whatever, it is a great variety of plants and colors.
