What is this perennial?

ardell

This plant comes back year after year. It looks like small black-eyed susans but there are many of them on branching stems from the central stem. They are quite prolific- and seem to come into their own in late summer- which is fine for me as they take over where my bleeding heart is. My picture is too large and has been rejected so here are some specifics: height- up to 5 feet and up to 2 feet wide, flowers are 2 inches in diameter (center is black)and have 9 golden yellow petals usually but I have seen 13. Not a big as an outhouse plant but similar! Any guesses?
