Yes. A picture would be helpful.

You say the leaves are deformed. Are they the seed leaves or the "true leaves"?

Deformed leaves can be caused by fungal disease or blight. But I can't tell you much without a better description. Make sure there is air circulation and don't water too much. Let the soil dry out on top.

I also wanted to say until today they have been kept very dry.
And I only water after the whole top layer is dry. It usually is dry enough that the soiless mix actually doesn't touch the sides so it becomes never too wet.
Today I watered them like I usually do from the bottom, I water just until I see the soil surface is dark and then I drain off any excess from the bottom of the tray.

Thanks to all of you requesting pictures I sure hope that I can some how figure out whats going on with my baby plants.

Oh these are the seed leaves if you look really close you can see the true leaves trying to emerge. I have had a box fan blowing day and night so I think thats suffcient?? If any of you know anything I could try let me know. Thanks for helping me and thanks for being willing to take time to see what's wrong.

Don't panic! I don't think the pointing down leaves mean anything. As I recall, when I grew them last year, they did something similar. Wait until their first set of leaves come in before you panic. If your plants are indoors, like in a spare bedroom or something, I would just turn off the fan. They might be getting too dry; check the air humidity levels in there. Drying between waterings is one thing, but they sure didn't like it when I forgot to water them for a day. I also grew mine in potting mix, so maybe yours could use some diluted fertilizer since it's a soilless mix. I definitely fertilized, especially after the leaves showed up.

Oh! They are typically shade plants, so try to give them some darkness during the night. I don't think it's necessary to give them more than 14 hours of light a day.

I was really hoping someone would share some information who's grown them before:) so the info you provided helps so much! I will definately try to water before the tray becomes desert like! Also maybe I will direct the fan away from the impatiens allowing the fan to blow only around my other plants.

I been seemingly getting different messages as far as fertilizing?
Mine have never been fertlized but is theyr'e growth usually this small?
I sown them on March 1st.

That would be so wonderful if they really just grown out of this.
Do you fertilize with something like miracle grow or fish emulsion?
I would hate to burn them after they are already leaved weird. But maybe by not fertilizing them I am helping them struggle longer?

If you can provide anymore information I would love to learn even more!
At least for tonight I am not going to try anything on them and will try not to worry :)

Also' I had them under two fixtures with 4- tubes Cool White fluorescents
Maybe I was stressing them by being to warm and also dried that they were struggling. There leaves pointed down look as if they are saying " My solar leaves have to much light!" then again maybe not. Either way I think putting the lights a little farther from the plants and giving them a little less time under the lights would be a good thing! And less time between waterings!

They're fine. I don't fertilize until they have the second set of true leaves. And they are small but grow rapidly after transplanting.
