NHL - Mike Shadrack also reminds me a bit of Northern Exposure though more pointy. Bought as a liner in '11 - leaf size and plant has increased each year. Thunder Boomer has come along nicely since 2011(beat up look when I got it). I have TB in quite a bit of sun for now to get it going, will see how color endures. Linda - Neptune I saw in a 2010 tour garden and the leaf was very cool. What pictures I've seen of Bridal Falls are very attractive - mine was a 2" liner full of roots and surprised how strongly it took off and the good leaf size. Gesila - the two streaked are Northern Exposure OP seedlings I've been growing since 2011. Planted a couple of others into the garden last year and they came back well, so these will find the garden this year. I keep hoping they pick up the leaf size of Northern Exposure, but so far growth is slow. The other misted one is a William Lachman seedling - absolute runt of all the seedlings I grew in 2011, but leaf was curly edges and narrow, so kept it. Finally has gotten a bit of size this year so I think it'll make it to the garden as well. Phil, so far BF based upon a history of 2-3 weeks it is growing good.......lol. I found this one at a annual plant sale scholarship fundraiser for a school (huge event). They always have a few surprises in their catalog (like this one) that you wouldn't expect. I have a counter-depth fridge and due to the layout of my cabinets (the fridge is located in the corner), I cannot get a full-depth fridge anywhere. However, my side-by-side fridge is 25 cubic feet. I can store a lot of food there. It's very tall and impressive looking. So while I paid more, I didn't get less, space-wise. I purchased my fridge in 1999 and paid $1250 for it. It's white and when it dies I will replace it with a KA stainless side by side without a dispenser in the door. And I agree on all of the comments about FD fridges. Due to my kitchen layout, I don't think we're a candidate for that design either... my skinny freezer door opens in the tight corner. Darn! Finally, I should add that I own a 42" chest freezer and just purchased an undercounter beverage fridge (Fridgidaire brand. Note, there is a difference between a beverage fridge and a wine fridge. You can't keep food in a wine fridge.) that sits in my laundry room. It has an all-glass door, and holds an incredible amount of stuff: 6 gallons of milk, a few pounds of butter, a couple of half gallons of orange juice, and lots of bottle water and soda. This is "counter-depth" and holds nearly as much as the top half of my side by side. It's under the countertop that served as a computer desk (but now we have laptops), so it fits right into the room and uses space that wasn't really needed anymore. The key is the double-glass door, without the molded plastic door you can pack this little fridge. I love this fridge, it cost only $299 from Lowes (on sale) when I bought in December (2011). I've always wanted a second fridge, but here in Texas the summers are very hot and would not want to store one in the garage. I also purchased the 4 year extended warranty (which gives me five years total coverage), so for under $400 I have a fridge that will work for five years. If it dies the day after the warranty expires, that's okay. We've gotten our money's worth. We should be able to squeeze back into one fridge by that time. I love this fridge, if it were made by KitchenAid, it would cost five times as much. Everything else in my kitchen is KA and Whirlpool, by the way. I guess this is a little OT. I love my big counter-depth fridge too. And now that FD fridges are in vogue, a KA stainless, counter-depth side by side isn't selling for a small fortune anymore. Those prices seem to have leveled off.

I would for sure and what a perfect spot for lots of succulents a coffee on a sunny cold day! Is that an Orange tree you have there and Hoya? Many plants of which I love and I am growing. In fact, several different rare Hoya and about 35 citrus trees....Nice Well looking up further, wow!! Looks like you have plenty of room for succulents and many others, more room than my loan Home Depot..Great job and very nice.

Also keep in mind that many backyard gardeners are looking more for yield per given space, rather than yield per plant. For example... if, in a 4' wide bed, starting 6" - 8" in from the edges, I plant 3 plants across the width, that gives me 16" - 18" spacing. For the next set, I can either repeat the 3 across, or do a checker board pattern and plant 2 across the width (reducing the distance from the 3-across set to 12" along the length, but keeping almost 18" between plants. I'll then repeat the pattern along the width of the bed... 3 plants across, 2 plants across, 3 plants across... etc... In either the continual 3-across, or the 3, 2, 3, 2, by the time the peppers are ready for harvest, the entire bed will be completely filled with growth. What does this gain? Yield for each plant might be slightly less than plants given a little more space, but such intensive planting will usually have garnered more weight per sq. ft. Each individual fruit may be smaller, but in most cases, the weight yield per space will be higher. This technique is old, but has been proven time and again by indoor grow operations. Now.. the pros and cons, caveats and potential downsides... Peppers, like many produce, are used for different purposes. I almost always cut up my peppers before using them. That means I don't care how big each pepper is, I want high yield per space (even if it means smaller fruits.) If however, you like stuffed peppers - or some other dish where the pepper is used whole, you may want to grow a few plants with a little more elbow room between them. This will maximize fruit size. Intensive planting also raises the chance for disease incidence. Peppers are not too bad for diseases here, so I haven't had to worry, but area where diseases are high may want to increase space as necessary. As mentioned above, the more intensive the planting, the higher the demand for nutrients and water. Since they are somewhat forgiving for these needs, I find that intensive planting works well for peppers. I should add that my ground is fairly fertile, and those who have amended with lots of compost usually have little issue with P or K. And while peppers need enough N for optimum production, I find that too much N can lead to lots of foliage. I don't starve N, but neither do I like to give them unlimited amounts.
