I don't know what they are but they aren't bullfrogs, cane toads or Cuban treefrogs and that is good.

My guess is leopard or pickerel frog.

missa, I believe they are Leopard frogs, though it is difficult to tell the difference in the photographs..

Still need help on IDing these frogs(?) I have looked at EVERY website I could find. None of them cite the lines down their backs.

Also can't find the police whistle like call. Someone somewhere ID'ed that one time.

I think Horton was right about it looking like a Leopard Frog - they look like the Southern Leopard Frogs, and the website below has a GREAT picture of them. Also mentions a possible subspecies, Florida Leopard Frog. The website even has some sound files, too! Maybe that will help. Good luck ~ they're PRETTY little frogs!! Maybe one of them ate a Prince ;)

Wow, those are AWESOME frogs!

Depending on the type of police whistle, it's either the common American Toad or a Tree Frog. Both have very high tones, where the Tree Frog has more fluctuation in pitch, and the toad is more shrill and steady.
