Snapdragons growing very slowly?

I planted my snaps on Christmas Day 2013 (being the rookie I was, I covered them with soil- still grew!) anyway... They haven't grown much since they sprouted .. Any ideas?

Also.. When should I transplant them ?

What temperature and light conditions do you have?

I tend to think the temperature has more to do with them not growing. I regularly have them come up as volunteers in my south facing flower bed. They germinate when it is quite cool and then just sit there until the weather warms. I have put a tunnel cold frame that I have over them at times if I want to keep them and then they start growing. If you can increase the heat a bit they might start growing. A hundred watt incandescent bulb will throw enough heat to give them a bit more heat.

Transplant when they have their second set of true leaves. Right now they only have their seed leaves.

They're in a un-heated greenhouse that gets sunlight for about 7 hours (on a good sunny day) and it stays around 10 degrees on a cloudy day but when sun breaks through it can reach up to 25 degrees Celsius.. When does the second set of leaves come through?

Last year I had so many snaps to transplant and not too much room in the greenhouse. I start them in flats under lights and then transplant them into individual containers and take them to the greenhouse about a week later. I don't open the greenhouse until the weather is fairly warm. Well as I said I had too many snaps for the greenhouse so I planted lots in my south facing flower bed by the house where it was a bit protected and a bit warmer. This was 3 weeks before my last frost day. They grew a bit slower than those in the greenhouse but they thrived and bloomed a week after the greenhouse ones. I plan on doing the same thing this year and saving my greenhouse space for tenderer annuals

You get what you pay for. Sorry about being blunt, but you bought a piece of crap. Sixteen watts??? Mostly red and orange, neither which are good for seedlings, unless you like really leggy plants that will fall over on their side if you breathe hard in front of them. Can you send it back? There are good, even close to great LED panels available. But if they are not rated at 90 watts or greater, stay away from them. Even some 90 watts are still a POS. But sellers hype them as being perfect for plants and some unwary people believe them. You could have spent about $30 on shop lights and provided much better artificial lighting for your seedlings. Parts are by volume. 4-1-1 is not a high nitrogen fertilizer. It is almost the ideal ratio of nutrients (3-1-2). plus the applications rates on the label instructions are quite low. Plus fish emulsion, fish oil, and fish/kelp blends come in various formulations - all depends on the brand - but all are low. This compared to MG at 24-8-16 for example which is a high N fertilizer. There are few, if any, high N compounded ferts. They most all fall into the 2-1-1, 4-2-3, 3-3-3 range. If you want high N organic then you use a nitrogen-specific organic. Same for high P or K needs. Thanks everyone for all the advice. I think you might be right and not fertilizing could be the problem. Next time, I'll do an experiment as Ignatz suggested: one half with no added food, the other half fed. I'll also use a plain seed starting medium. As for why it's 75 degrees, I am growing inside my house (bathroom to be exact) for lack of anywhere better. Our house has poor insulation so the heat runs nonstop in the winter, causing the temp to get kind of high at times. The bathroom is also probably quite humid given people using the shower several times a day, bumping the temp up further. I'm amazed you all think overwatering was the issue. I know how easy it is to do that, and was really stingy with water. Yes, my pots did have drainage holes. They were plastic nursery pots, not peat. Would you say that watering once a week is too much between 1-2 months old? Also: Do you think my city water might be affecting the plants badly? One source said it was high in chlorine, which seems real bad for young plants but perhaps I'm mistaken. I'll try changing up my starting pots, too. Cells to 3.5 inch pots makes sense. If it's 10 degrees on a cloudy day what is it at night I'll bet it is close to freezing or below. Your snaps won't do much growing with those temperatures.

Take some clear 2 liter pop bottles or any clear bottle and fill them almost full with water, Put the lids on and let them sit on a sunny shelf in your greenhouse. The water will get hot. Before night time arrange the bottles around the container with your seedlings. Wrap bottles and container in a sheet of plastic or cloth--don't let it touch your seedlings. You will have made a little warm coccon for your seedlings. Remove everything in the morning so you don't fry your plants and repeat every evening until the weather is warmer.

Your seedlings simply won't grow with the temperatures they are at now

I will agree with dowlinggram. When I grow snaps they are kept about 15C all the time......and they creep...ohhhh they creep.... until outside to explode.... after 8 weeks I have transplanted snaps that are under 3" tall but have great roots....
