I've never been to the Boston show so don't know if they have roses. But I will likely be going this year, there are many good bus deals for $35 or so (I am also 2 hours away). With the bus you don't have to worry about the Boston traffic or the exhorbitant parking fees.

I have probably attended the Boston Spring Flower Show about 6 or 7 times over the years and I have never seen
roses being sold there...(perhaps because mid-March is too early for roses up here). However, I have seen rose books for sale. Unfortunately, the plants that are sold at the show are mainly indoor houseplants, flower bulbs, & seeds.
But it is a spectacular event, and breathing in all the fragrances of the blooming spring flowers while there's still snow & cold outside is like stepping into Heaven for a day! Plan on spending a lot of time there, since there is so much to see and it is very crowded. I doubt I'll get down there this year, but it is worth going. The way the exhibits are planted, with live trees, fountains, ponds and waterfalls, you would swear you are outdoors!

Mass Hort has a list of expected vendors on their website. No roses, but that isn't a big surprise.

A couple of the big local garden centers put on their own little garden shows. Even a display of only one greenhouse is very welcome in late February, and usually manages to get me through until spring. The price is also right - free.

Hmmmm. No rose vendors. No roses. Long bus trip.
Or - face the no-rose reality, and drive an hour to the Smith College Bulb Show. No roses there, either, but much less expensive. And no pressure, since I don't fuss with bulbs much, so won't be tempted to go through Making Lists.
And then back home, easy drive, to sit down with rose catalogs and tea.
