While visiting my grandmother in Arizona, I found this small tree (bush?) growing at a neighbors. It doesn't appear native to the area as they had a water drip system and shade provided.

Branches are light colored but woody, leaves grow in clusters.

There were several peanut-shaped seed pods that I collected and have brought home but would like to know WHAT it is before I try growing them. After drying, it took a pair of channel locks and both hands to open them! They each have about 3-4 bean-type seeds in a red/orange color.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've been all over botanical sites and am going cross-eyed from them all!
