need help identifying perennial with purple flowers

This plant is about 1 foot tall and bloomed with little purple flowers at the beginning of June wondering what it might be. Thanks for your help.

It is a type of Sedum.

Looks like my autumn fire sedum in the garden. Get orange-reddish flowers that dry to a neat red-brown when finished blooming.

Thanks for the replies lazy, mammie, and rox. I think it might be a Veronica of some sort after googling the other plants. I'm still not 100% sure on that though. Here is a up close leaf shot if it helps to confirm it is in fact a sort of Veronica plant.
