Yes, it will only bloom once. After the blooming is finished, you can clip the little stems where each flower was attached to the stalk so it doesn't spend energy in seed production. Leave the main stalks to dry up and turn brown over the course of the season before cutting down - that feeds the bulb for next year's growth and blooms.

it looks like those are some of the older leaves in the pic ... is there any damage out where new shoots are growing ... if not.. one might suggest.. the bug is long gone ... why else eat the old tough parts.. instead of the juicy new stuff... and perhaps that is why you cant find them ... more info please in my world.. snip that compound leaf off.. and be done with it ... a few others.. if need be ... ken
