Unusual visitor at pond

Last night before dark, I heard a funny sound that sounded like a bird. It was a konk konk sound. I walked wround to the front expecting to see a bird and saw nothing.

About an hour later we were grilling out and I heard it again at the pond. Still thinking it was a bird that might eat my fish, I grabbed a flashlight.

We searched and saw dozens of toads. Finally on a green iris leaf I saw it. It was a green tree frog.

What makes this so unusual is that we have grey tree frogs where we live but the green tree frog is a coastal frog and I am near the mountains. That little frog is 130 miles outside his normal range.

Here is a link that might be useful: Green tree frog
