Good morning....I've risen, it isn't shining. In fact, it's still dark out, it's raining, and in about an hour I'm going to need to shower and get dressed to meet my mother for a day of shopping and lunch at outlet stores an hour from here - halfway mark between our homes.

I'm not sure why she insists on going there, we have a mocha and visit, browse all the stores where she handles everything and buys nothing, have lunch, more browsing. But even though we talk and email daily, I haven't seen her in a few weeks so I'm very much due to give her a day.

I didn't see the game, instead zipped up to a friends at 5 PM to a computer scrapbook program 'party', left in the middle of the demonstration at 6:30 because I knew dinner was going to turn into a crispy critter meatloaf in my oven without some attention. (The program looked like fun, but I haven't learned to use the Kodak that came with my camera that I already have) Did some mapwork DH needed for his 5 AM departure for Seaside this morning, cleaned up my kitchen, laundry. He won't be home until tomorrow night - it's my night not to cook!

Then tomorrow, quarterly business taxes that I'll need to mail and pay next week.

I am suffering the same ailment as Kathy in another thread, and it was just nice to see a cheerful GM.
Morz, I remember when my mum would visit us every year from England. I thought it was a pain that she always wanted to go shopping. She passed away two years ago and I do not get that chance any more. (morbidity setting in again, sorry!)
One of my very, very favourite things to do is have some time with my own daughter who I do not see often, she lives on the mainland - and what do I love to do???? - Go shopping and have lunch with her, but it is not about that, it spending the time with her. (mother/daughter time) I guess mum's need it more than daughters - usually they have more time on their hands. So I hope you guys can try and make it more fun - but I also hope your mum is not too demanding of you - everyone's circumstance of course is different.
Off to the lab - routine fasting test. Will be funny, because it is the place I retired from after 22 years and I used to be the other end of the needle!

Good morning all: Well, its almost afternoon now, but I had two meetings this morning. Oregon is foggy and rainy today which fits my foggy brain. I am encouraged that I will pull out of the depression if I follow my plan. Tonight we are watching our Grandson, Ruben, who is 3 and a total joy. Tomorrow is band practice which always cheers me up. Anyway, have a great day everyone.
