Blackberry Lily and Candy Lily are not true lilies. They are actually Iris relatives. If you notice the leaves of them look like iris. Their seeds(which are black and round) do not need to be sown right away. If you get poor germination, it is from other causes. I've grown true lilies from seed and they will germinate after storage. They do have a short shelf life, so they should be sown within a year. True lily seeds can vary in color. They are flat within a papery disk. Good lily seeds will have a darker hard middle within the disk. Lilies often produce good and bad seed(without the hard disk) from their pods. So you cannot just collect everything that comes out of the pod and expect them to grow. My asiatic seeds are brown. So having a lighter papery disk is possible. Doris, I just google Magic Lily and realize you were talking about Lycoris squamigera which isn't a true lily either, lol. I've never seen seeds from that plant. It is quite possible that it is suppose to have white seeds. There are a few plants that do make seeds like that. Ok, I just googled Lycoris squamigera and it seems it does not set viable seed or if it does it is a very rare occurrence so you most likely have seed that will not grow. Remy

If you are sure the red lily is small or a dwarf I have albert greenberg to trade. If not greenberg let me know what else you are looking for. I also have the floating sensitive fern and some of most anything. Damon

Which state do you live in? Some states prohibit these plants because they are quite invasive in open waters. As long as you keep them in your pond, that doesn't have access to open waters, then you are OK. I have bunches of them. I throw them out regularly because they multiply so fast.
