Name That Plant!

2 Unknown Plants need ID Please

I hit the clearance rack at Lowes and couldnt pass up these two at 50 cents each. I have no idea WHY because I have no idea WHAT they are!

THe first one had tiny purple/dark blue flowers one it...the pot say perennial.

The next one looks kind of like some sort of succulent maybe because the leaves are thick and sort of fleshy....maybe?? Some leaves are green, some are veriegated.

I have never posted pics in a post....hope they turn out!

Thanks in advance for any help! I just need to know where I can plant these little cheapies!

The first looks like Aubrieta and the second appears to be Sedum spurium 'Tricolor'.

The first one I think you are correct on the horsetail part, but I dont think it's the field horsetail..can that grow in marshy areas? DH came home & said it was in a marshy swampy area. I was gonna chuck it, but decided to put it in the bog tub. I don't think the 2nd one is beggar's ticks.

The first one might be a Crabapple. The second one is Beautyberry, Callicarpa americana.

Don't plan on leaving it where it is, though; it's much too close to your foundation for the size it will reach - 60' tall with a 30' spread. Very easy to transplant, dig it in the fall or early spring. - Steve
