You could be absolutely right! I've not heard of perennial peanut before, and these did not have anything on the tag. It would not surprise me if they came from Sunbelt growers, I haven't ever bought from them, but I know the Ace stores do have options to purchase from them. Thanks! GGG

Laetitia, I am glad to hear you say that about ebay. It seems most iris people have a some what less than friendly view of ebay iris. I like you have had good results. You have to be careful and not get carried away. I have seen iris sell on ebay for more than Schreiner's prices. I have gotten some quality iris on ebay at great prices. Mostly I buy multi quantity lots because I have a lot space and this is where you can get the best price per rhizome when you add in the shipping. Ebay is like any other place, let the buyer beware. granburyflowergirl: Yes those are bluets in your photo. Don't you just love them? I try to avoid stepping on them, but I have so many it is impossible not to do so. I have adored them all my life. This year they are more abundant than I can remember. I was thinking that maybe the super cold winter had some effect on the increase. There is a similar but smaller white flower blooming along with them this year. I cannot find its name. My pasture looks like it has a slight snow covering now.

It depends on whether there is enough sustained temperature for your plants to flower & therefore form peanuts. It's a sub-tropical/tropical plant, mind you what WEATHER is Melbourne having, you could grow anything if this is the future? I would have said maybe too late but perhaps you could give them a go - could you convince Bunnings to discount you a couple? I saw some flowering on their shelves here a couple of weeks back (sth of bris) and was a little tempted but they were a bit of a price for a "maybe" and I don;t really have room.
