Sometimes when seeds are commercially packaged, a few get stuck in the machine's innards. Snapdragon seeds are quite small (about the size and shape of edible poppy seeds) and could be missed when the machine is cleaned.

Gosh and they look so hopeful... as if a pretty flower will finally emerge...eventually? A patient gardener.... Then the dissapointment. ;o) one time, I must have let dozens of these grow to never ending height, filling up my garden beds thinking they were volunteers or seeds that I forget I sowed. Waited, waited, looked for buds, waited... Its satisfying to feel all the thin roots break their hold when I pull. hehe :o)
