Hi Chara I grew Cornell Delicata bush last season, it did not do well for me that is the reason that I have not grown again. It probably does best in northern gardens. Here is a picture of the plant And here is picked after showing the markings All my plants are on a spraying program once a week serenade and spinosad, what it does is delay the yellows and other diseases due to the rains and bugs. If I still get a good crop it is okay. I think that you have the older vinning variety of delicata, I had the improved bush and still did not do well. And don't worry about the tomatoes, eventually all the tomatoes yellow, some more than others due to various reasons, I have not seen a picture yet of a mature tomato plant with all the green leaves and ripe tomatoes. :) About the squash I am trying new to me Oriental varieties that are doing well in the heat, they are small in size and grow fast, let me know if you want to try those. I have some in pots and some in a raised bed to see which ones do better. To the delicata you have if you have not added liquid fertilizer, try that maybe it helps, with the rains the nutrients wash away. Silvia

Now we're looking at 19 days and by the lack of posting, it doesn't seem that there are too many of you folks interested in coming to the Swap! I know that everyone is busy but it would sure be nice to see just how many of you are actually going to make it. After having around 100 folks and thousands upon thousands of plants at the Spring Swap I would figure that we should have nearly as many at the Fall one. I know that a lot of you will be there and you just take for granted that we all expect you to be but for the new folks and the lurkers...let's give them an idea of what to expect.

LOL!!!!!! I can't tell you how many times I type guilt for quilt and have to correct it!!! Blowing raspberries at Teresa for having working AC lol!!! please show us some pics of your tea wallets - I have started on a purse over a year ago and still haven't finished it. Yep, we are having T-storms and 85% humidity, tomorrow is going to be the worse. We are about like Altamonte, Fl - far enough inland to miss the worse of the storm. We need the rain so much - but the farmers are still harvesting onions. Sometimes in March we have winds that are stronger than I remember the tropical storms in FL. Donna, I remember going to the movies and the mall everyday for a week when we had the hurricanes in a row lol!!! I think being without AC is much easier than totally out of electric. If you have ever watched "Mayberry" you know what Glennville, GA is like lol. One friend moved here when his wife's fam needed help and he told DH it was like moving to a third world country lol!!!! well, The big fix it guy from Expo thinks that my tile job meets industry standards. He likes the soap niche the way it is. I will need a few pictures of the way they are suppose to look to show. Does anyone have a great looking tile soap niche they can send me a picture of? He also didn't think the crack between the tile and the wall (along the sides of the tub surround) are anything to worry about....he says I'll just have to caulk every year or so to cover any holes that open up. Of course there are already a few holes even though they just caulked them. What is the industry standard for recaulking? Because of the surface of the wall being almost level with the top of the curved surface of the radius bullnose tile it is like trying to draw a straight line on a flat surface and looks really bad to me. The caulk is mostly on the wall not the tile. Am I just being picky? I plan to sell this house in a few years and I am afraid that this will make potential buyers run. The picture below shows what it looked like before the extra wall board was added to cover up the big grout. By the way It is unsanded grout that has not been sealed and the bathroom is a pretty moist place. Will this stuff start running out onto the floor some day?
