Yippee, won a Catasetum

It's name is Donna Wise x Altimar Soares. Difficult to read the tag, but should be close.

Now guys & gals, the only similar plant I've tried growing was a Cyncd Wine Delight. I bought it in spike, it bloomed beautifully. The following spring I killed it! I don't want to repeat that experience.

This is a large plant. It has 4 old bulbs, apprx. 1", 2", 5" & 8" tall. A 10" new growth & a much smaller 2" growth just starting from the same old psb. The plant is growing in a 4" air cone pot, planted with bark. There are new roots growing down into the pot. I did some googling, but didn't find much info. I did water/feed it today since Thurs or Friday are my regular days for feeding.

What I read the other evening has me assuming I give it catt light, only more even watering/feeding. What about temps? This is SC Texas, it's hot! We're supposed to hit triple digits this weekend. I have a swamp cooler in my little GH, but temps will still get up to 95*. Can those delicate leaves handle the heat? I have very good moving air. If I need to move it indoors, I'll lose the humidity.

Any info/suggestions appreciated. Also any photos you might have of these blooms. TIA.

Sheila :)
