Definitely Pokeweed. Some people keep it. It can be quite a handsome plant when mature, lovely red stems. If it wasn't so weedy, you can be sure it would be sold in nurseries for that reason alone!

Certain? No way, it's a tiny picture on the computer. Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, I hope. Pokeweed's a native, perennial. If you don't mind picking some sprouts next year, that's up to you. I let them go once in a while, depending on where they pop up. Do some research and make your own decision.

It's poke. It reseeds prolifically, but some people like to eat it and others like to watch bluebirds hang from it eating berries in the fall. If you live in town or close to other gardeners you may engender some resentment if you leave it because the birds also spread the seeds all over the place. And it is poisonous so must be prepared carefully and the berries shouldn't be eaten by humans.
