Watering plan for fall overseed

I am getting my lawn ready for overseeding, and I am concerned about how to go about accomplishing the frequent watering that is needed in the coming weeks. I have about an acre of lawn with no underground irrigation system, so I have to rely on hoses. The best plan I have is to buy a couple 4 valve timer systems (see link below), one for the front of the house and then one for the back. Then, get a whole mess of hose running all over the yard for the 5-6wks. That's an awful lot of hose, but it seems like that's what it's going to take. Not sure how anyone else does it, considering the watering schedule required. Any thoughts, tips or advice on watering an overseeded is appreciated! Thanks, Matt
