Pseudobulb shriveling...time to water?

I have a catt that has a couple of the older pseudobulbs starting to wrinkle. I was wondering does this suggest the plant is not getting enough water?

I have been watering this particular catt frequently. I water lightly about once every 4 or 5 days, but the potting medium seems to dry quickly. The catt otherwise appears to be healthy but I think that the bark mix in which the orchid sits (the original mix that the grower sold it to me in) may not hold any moisture. In Southern California we have very low humidity (although I am fortunate to live in one of the highest humidity areas) and recently we have had temperatures over 90. I am concerned that this orchid is not getting enough moisture. Should I be concerned? If so, what should I do?

Thanks
