Ludisia discolor question

Hi all. a few weeks ago I bought a beautiful ludisia discolor in bloom. Now that the individual flowers have died off, when should the spikebe cut???

I know the answer for my phals, paphs, minicatts, etc but this is my first ludisia. The spike is so green and healthy looking (despite no flowers) that I don't want to remove it if it is an important source of grabbing light and nutrients for the plant.

Thanks,

Judy
