Name That Plant!

Here's a few more I haven't been able to identify. Thanks so much in advance.

#1 This one looks like a stawberry relative. I think the petals of the flower are yellow, like Fragaria indica but the fruit doesn't match, unless it's still developing.

#3 I'm willing to bet this yet another introduced pasture legume.

#4 I know this one but I just can't get its name off the tip of my tongue. It's a mallow with 1" bright yellow flowers. I even saw a cultivar of it being sold a nursey once.

#5 And lastly, could this be a honeysuckle? I haven't been able to find a honeysuckle species with leaves like that (only a couple inches long). It didn't seem too viney and it branched quite frequently.

Well, I've never been to Texas so these are really just suggestions, but the first one looks like Duchesnea indica, Indian Strawberry; the second one might be Heal All or Self Heal, Prunus vulgaris, although I'm not so sure about that one. And the last one certainly looks like a honeysuckle; you sometimes see those lobed leaves on Japanese honeysuckle, so maybe you get them on the shrubby ones, too. If it was around here I'd say it was either Lonicera morrowii or L. tatarica, both of which are introduced (and invasive); you probably have them but maybe this is a different one I'm not familiar with.

4 Looks like a Sida sp., not sure which one.
I agree with WW on the Duchesnea & Honeysuckle.

I think it's Geum too. So before I was told this was Geum as well: It had a basal rosette and send up a stalk with similar white flowers. What species is this?? I also agree on the Acalypha. I figure it was but needed species some species suggestions. Can anyone clue me in on #2? What families should I look through?

Yes, Chris is right about Forestiera. We had those back in central Texas. My first thought was Viburnum because we have a couple other species growing in the area. And I belive buttonbush is also correct. The ones I'm used to seeing in central Texas have much smaller leaves and grow right out of the limestone so I didin't even consider it.

Deebie The tomato is still o the vine. As a result of my cancer, I have difficulty in swallowing. It has just been in the last month that I have been able to eat really soft and smooth foods. I have getting all of my nourishment by a feeding tube and Ensure. It sure is nice to eat beans, applesuace, pudding,,mashed potatoes, cheese soup, and others. Every new bite for me is a new taste experience and is exciting. Two years ago, I weighed over 349 lbs. I got down to 180 lbs a couple of weeks ago. But God has other plans and I have been able to gain 9 lbs this past week. It is amazing how fast your body forgets how to swallow, and how fast it can come back. I am truly blessed to be able to write this today and tell others, I am cancer free and You can be too. I have great doctors at MD Anderson. Twelve rounds of Chemo and 12 weeks of radiation and we beat the cancer. The recovery has been slow but gardening has truly helped' My goal is to pluck a cherry tomato off the plant, plop it in my mouth, bite down, and experience that tomato explosion in my mouth. I still get upset at myself at time but a little "time out" in the garden definately helps. Please keep posting about your tomatoes,becuse I am so anxious to learn more. I did plant some herbs for my winter garden.

YES on the leaf drop, I've never seen such a huge amount of leaves in the pool as this year, those winds on Christmas Eve (central TX) were unbelievable (and we are used to high winds here). My skimmers were full to overflowing (as in, out of the top of the hole, not just the basket) and the pool was simply coated with a layer of leaves. Got out what we could, but am still going out every so often with the pole and scooping, dumping, scooping. My daughter and I had swept all the leaves off the deck a few days ago and I raked them AWAY as far as I could, the wind was so high it picked them up and brought them BACK towards and eventually into the pool, it was wild. I had chairs, decorations, pots in the pool, a few broken items too. We're on year 4 (I think!) of pool ownership and this is not in my realm of normal, so not to worry! Normally we scoop a few leaves here and there for a few weeks, not a huge load like this all at once.

#2 looks like Ruellia - one of the wild ones.

OK, thanks guys.

I've never seen a Ruellia with an inflorescence like that though. I'll just have to wait for it to bloom. I'm pretty sure #4 wansn't a Sida but I haven't been able to find anything else either.

Turnera was my other thought but I can find a match so far
and Enquist's book didn't yield anything either.

Oh sorry about #2, I didn't realize that picture went with it! Not Ruellia. I'd go with weedwoman's suggestion of Prunella vulgaris, Heal all or a relative of it.

Yay, I can finally respond.

Well darn, Turnera was the name I was trying to think of and since it's not in Malvaceae, I'm really confused. I think I just need to wait until the flowers open and some seed pods form. Thanks for getting the name for me, it was starting to bother me.
