Can I save my dying Orchid!?

I received this orchid almost exactly a year ago and have a history of killing plants. So to be able to have kept it alive this long is a milestone and now I'm afraid it's on its last leg. It has its last leaf (barely) and well, you can see the picture of it here {{gwi:145241}}. The moss inside the roots was very damp so I was told to take it out to dry a little, so that's why it's in the bowl.

I MAY have poisoned it with too much orchid food, but Ii'm not sure.

If anyone can give suggestions as to what might be wrong with it and if it can be fixed, that'd be greatly appreciated!

Also, if this helps, I've had it in a pot that had fish tank rocks (no dirt or moss or anything), but I assumed that might have been making it too wet? So I transplanted it recently into another pot that has the bark mixture for orchids. I've had it in an office with a skylight for the past year and have gotten 2-3 new leaves, but that's about it.

Sorry,

IMO, it's toast... If I were to venture a guess, I'd say it was watered too frequently. They need to dry out a bit between waterings or the roots will rot and then the leaves will start to dessicate and die.

If a tree's been living indoors until now, probably the coldest week of the year or so, now would not be the time to put it outdoors. You'll have to keep it inside somehow until it's warmer out (consistently above freezing overnight) and hope for the best. Zachman - A "similar" tree could be anything, and may need different care. Can you post a picture?

It looks like it rotted from too much water. It's a small plant in a big pot, and it's mid winter and this is a succulent. I don't think this one will make it. My snake plants spend the season outside and may be watered every day, but in the house (in the Winter), I hardy water them at all.

Even I, the original bleeding heart for croaking orchids, would toss this one. Bob hit in on the head--too much water. Looks like it rotted.

I,M so sorry but that one is a goner, even the crown is rotted, send it to orchid heaven and go buy yourself a new one, don't let this prevent you from trying again afterall we have all had sone win and looses but when it comes to orchids the joy and satisfaction of just looking on them is very rewarding. Good luck
